National Recycling Week 11th - 17th November 2019

Recycling week 2

Get in involved and do your bit for the environment!

From the 11-15th November 2019 all BDCU Alliance Bank Centres will have Planet Ark printer cartridge bins and secure document bins, so you can recycle these items responsibly.

How will my printer cartridges recycled?

So far Australians have returned over 41 million cartridges, or enough to fill 82 Olympic swimming pools.

BDCU Alliance Bank will return the printer cartridges to Planet Ark via Australia Post.

By recycling your cartridges through this program, will help conserve raw materials and reduce waste going to landfill. Cartridges are then remade into products such as outdoor floor and decking, road surfaces, fencing, garden beds, pens and ink.

What printer cartridges do you accept?

All inkjet cartridges, toner cartridges and toner bottles can be placed in the Cartridges 4 Planet Ark box.

Accepted items includes:

  • Mixed cartridges
  • Inkjet cartridges
  • Laser cartridges
  • Unused cartridges
  • Toner bottles
  • Fuser and drum units
  • Print heads
  • Waste hoppers / containers collectors & kits.

Please visit Planet Ark for more information.

Are my sensitive documents securely recycled?

Yes, your sensitive documents (such as your bank statements) will be picked up by Challenge Southern Highlands where they will be shredded confidentially and turned into garden mulch.

Is it free?

Yes. Just drop your documents and cartridges off and we will do the rest.

Not sure how to recycle responsibly? Recycling can be complicated.  Planet Ark’s Golden Rules of Recycling tips will help you decide on how to recycle your waste. But, remember to reduce, and reuse first!
