My Community Program Print

BDCU Alliance Bank is a social enterprise that just happens to do banking. Our purpose is to make the Southern Highlands and Tablelands better tomorrow than they are today, by helping local organisations and businesses to flourish and supporting worthwhile community projects and causes.

With this in mind we have created the My Community Program, which is the first time we have directly linked everyday banking to the social outcomes we want to achieve. A part of this program is our My Community Savings Account.

What is a My Community Savings Account?

It's an online savings account that gets to the very heart of Do Good Banking. A My Community Savings Account allows you to nominate and support a My Community Partner from a list of registered local charities, community groups, schools and other local organisations.

How does it work?

It's simple. Save, earn interest, and watch your My Community Partner grow. For every $1 of interest you earn, BDCU Alliance Bank will pay 15c to your nominated My Community Partner. You don't have to pay a cent, but you are instrumental in how much is contributed to the growth of your community - simply by saving.

How do I open an account?

Give us a call on 02 4860 4000 or drop in to one of our Advice Centres to have a conversation about how opening a My Community Savings Account can help your local community.
